Which UK Income Stocks Pay Dividends in July?

GSK, Persimmon and WPP among stocks paying out next month.

As the halfway point of the year approaches, this is a busy time for quarterly and half-year dividend payments.

Four dividends by stocks on the “Top FTSE 100 UK Dividend Paying Stocks” screen are being paid in June:

• Admiral, special (£1.21), paid June 13

• Unilever, quarterly (38.87p), paid June 13

• Imperial Brands, quarterly (40.08p), paid June 30

• Intertek, final (102.6p), paid June 20

While not part of our dividend screen, Shell SHEL, pays its first quarter dividend on June 23, while BP BP. pays its first quarter dividend on June 27.

GSK

British pharmaceutical giant GSK will pay a 10p dividend for Q1 of 2025 on July 10. This is the same as Q1 of last year. In total, GSK paid 61p per share last year. The company currently has a forward dividend yield of 4.56%.

Associated British Foods

Associated British Foods ABF will make an interim payout of 20.7p on July 4. Last year the British food retailer made a final dividend payout of 42.3p.

WPP

FTSE 100 communications and advertising stock WPP will pay a final dividend of 24.4p on July 4. The company is currently yielding 7.55%.

J Sainsbury

UK supermarket chain J Sainsbury SBRY will pay a final dividend of 9.7p on July 11. This is slightly above levels paid last year at 9.2p. The stock has a dividend yield of 4.75%.

Persimmon

UK building stock Persimmon PSN will pay a final dividend of 40p on July 11. This is in line with the final dividend paid last year of 40p. The stock has a dividend yield of 4.57%.

Severn Trent

Water waste management company Severn Trent SVT will pay a final dividend of 73.03p on July 15. The stock has a dividend yield of 4.53%.

National Grid

The utilities giant National Grid NG. will pay a final dividend of 30.88p on July 17 and is yielding 4.45%.

DCC

Data communications company DCC will pay a dividend of 140.21p on July 17. The stock is yielding 4.47%.

RS Group

RS Group RS1, the British electronics producer, will pay a dividend of 13.9p July 25. The stock has a dividend yield of around 4%.

Whitbread

Whitbread will pay a final dividend of 60.6p on July 4; the Premier Inn owner is yielding 3.51%.

Bunzl

Bunzl BNZL will pay a final dividend of 53.8p in July. Morningstar has just taken up coverage of the company, assigning it a narrow economic moat. The stock is trading at around £23 per share, below Morningstar’s fair value estimate of £32.80.

Methodology for UK Dividend Stock Screen

To make it on to our monthly list, FTSE 100 companies need now to have a Narrow or Wide Morningstar Economic Moat Rating, pay a dividend, and have a forward yield of 3% or more. This is below the Bank of England base rate, which stands at 4.25%. We changed our methodology in 2022, introducing a forward dividend yield hurdle of 3%.
