Shares of business jet maker Bombardier BBD.A were down on Sept. 8 in response to news that US President Donald Trump will seek to prevent the sale of the company’s jets to US customers.

Bears say: Skeptics might worry that sales of Bombardier’s business jets will be prohibited in the United States, but we do not see any credible threat to existing flight certifications or future product sales, based on publicly disseminated parry-and-thrust verbiage tied to trade and tariff negotiations by members of the US federal government.

The bottom line: We haven’t altered our forecasts or fair value estimate. Bombardier’s shares trade within a few percentage points of our fair value estimate, and we see them as fairly or fully valued.
