What Are the Stock Market Holidays for 2026?

Even Bay Street takes holidays. The Toronto Stock Exchange, the Canadian Securities Exchange, the New York Stock Exchange, and the Nasdaq are regularly open Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern time, with weekends off. Markets remain open on New Year’s Eve, unless it falls on a weekend. There are also certain closures for stock market holidays. If a holiday falls on a Sunday, it is observed the following Monday.

The Toronto Stock Exchange remains open for trading on Remembrance Day— Nov. 11, 2026—and regular operating hours will be in effect.
