This list highlights the top-rated Global Fixed Income ETFs, as rated by Morningstar. Global fixed income funds invest in fixed income securities from developed countries throughout the world; some may include securities of emerging markets countries. These ETFs are designed to provide access to fixed income securities that can complement equity investments in a balanced portfolio.
Morningstar uses a five-tier scale (Gold to Negative) to rate funds. For actively managed funds, Gold, Silver, and Bronze ratings are given to funds expected to outperform their relevant category index after fees and risk. For passive strategies, these ratings are given to funds expected to deliver alpha that exceeds either the category median net alpha or zero over the long term.
